On behalf of our client, successful fast-growing company ABB, due to the increased workload and the need to expand the team we are looking for an experienced and proactive professional to fill in the following position of: 

Segment Sales Manager/ Key Account Manager

Working within ABB Motion Business (Product and System Drives, Motors, PLC Automation) this role should implement and maintain sales activities ensuring regular follow-up.The successful candidate will manage the assigned accounts, drive growth initiatives working in conjunction with a group of sales professionals and acts as a sales decision-maker providing strategy inputs for the sales team. You will coordinate sales activities, creating added value for the customer and ABB, with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction. The position requires excellent communications skills, sales leadership, and management abilities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Creates, plans, execute sales strategy and business development initiatives
  • Defining sales targets for the accounts, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process
  • Participate in and developing account plans to meet business and customer needs and implement growth actions
  • Build and maintain customer relationships with key customers
  • Implements the Global Business Area strategy and drive strategy localization in the market segments within the area of responsibility
  • Participate in budgeting, marketing, and sales process development
  • Achieve sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency
  • Identify and create business opportunities utilizing CRM and other tools
  • Preparing formal technical and commercial offers with clear contract terms
  • Studying customers’ needs and competitors’ offerings through market intelligence and insight from sales team
  • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken
  • Collaborate with Service department in development and implementation of digital solutions

Your background:

  • Bachelor/Master engineering or equivalent university degree, preferable Electrical or Automation background
  • At least 7+ years of experience in sales, sales management, business development or related experience
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy
  • Good understanding of relevant industrial drives and automation applications and related market knowledge
  • Experience in the fields of automation, LV motors and drives, or instrumentation would be considered as advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP and SFDC (Salesforce) is advantage
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
